What we collect
When you create an account we collect your email address and name. When you complete an assessment or edit your profile we collect the information you provide: age, education, language test scores, work experience, marital and family details, settlement funds, and immigration goals. We also collect standard usage analytics (pages visited, device type) through Vercel Analytics.
How we use it
Your profile data is used for exactly one purpose: calculating your immigration scores (such as the Canadian CRS) and matching you to programs you may be eligible for. Parts of your profile are processed by AI models (Google Gemini) to generate personalised recommendations and reports. Your email is used for account access, verification, and — if you opt in — draw alerts.
What we never do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your profile with immigration authorities, employers, or third-party marketers. Your assessment results are visible only to you.
Where it lives
Data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) with encryption in transit and at rest, protected by per-user security rules: only your authenticated account can read or write your profile.
AI processing disclosure
Recommendations, eligibility analyses, and Authority Reports are generated with the assistance of large language models. AI outputs are guidance, not legal advice, and may contain errors — always verify against official government sources before acting.
Your rights
You can view and edit all of your profile data at any time from your dashboard. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, email us and we will complete the deletion within 30 days. You may also request an export of your data.
Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies for authentication sessions, privacy-friendly performance analytics (Vercel Analytics / Speed Insights), and Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the site is used — page views, feature usage, and general region. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data under Google's privacy terms; we do not send it your profile answers or assessment results.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and note the revision date below. Continued use of MoveMate after changes constitutes acceptance.
